In this meterial study I transfered recurring shapes, colours and materials into different nature inspired variations.
To create these objects I first cut out round, scalelike, little forms from the beer mat material and soaked them in water. Afterwards the softened pieces were roughened by scrubbing over sandpaper in order to create a coarse, fibrous texture on the surface. In the last step I painted the forms in different shapes of grey and arranged them in nature inspired, biomorph structures on another white beer mat.
