A Personal Sense of Beauty
This is a hedonistic exercise. We want to indulge in the pleasure of transforming a mundane object into an object of beauty. Since we came up with this idea over dinner our starting object will be plain beermats.
Variations
We want to create a variety of beautiful objects and use them as catalysts for our conversations about beauty. Each beautified beermat will be mounted onto a piece of cardboard. We will collect those cardboards on the wooden wall of our studio space in a neat regular grid.
What do you find beautiful?
Turn your beermats into objects of beauty. You can cut them, shape them, paint them, infect them, burn them, or whatever else might come to your mind. Have fun! Don’t overthink things, just make sure the results are beautiful!
